Processing Time
All orders will be fulfilled within one (1) to three (3) business days from the time of purchase. If, for an unforeseen reason, this is not possible, you will be contacted immediately and offered options to remedy the situation.
Shipping Carrier
The exclusive shipping carrier of Mirkwood Scribes is the United States Postal Service (USPS). Other options will be available upon request, at the expense of the buyer. Please contact for more details.
Default Shipping Method
The default shipping method is free shipping in an untracked stamped envelope. Be on the lookout for a white envelope with a fat unicorn printed on the front!
Free Tracked Shipping
Free tracked shipping will be offered on all orders over $25.00 via USPS Ground Advantage.
Upgraded Shipping
Customers will have the option to upgrade their shipping to Ground Advantage or Priority Mail at checkout at their own discretion. Please note customers will be responsible to pay for the cost of upgraded shipping options.
Lost/Stolen/Delayed Orders
If an item(s) is marked as "Delivered" and you have not received your parcel, please follow these steps below:
- Verify the shipping address you entered is correct.
- Check in with anyone else who could have received the parcel for you, such as a roommate, family member, or neighbor.
- Contact your local post office to see if they are holding the package, and if not, if they have any further information on the whereabouts of your item(s).
- If it has been three (3) weeks since the shipment date and you have completed all the steps above, please send a message to Mirkwood Scribes.
In the event your item(s) is lost, stolen, or delayed, please contact your local post office or police department, as applicable. They will require your tracking number when contacted, so please have this readily available. Mirkwood Scribes is not responsible for stolen packages or any lost items; all insurance claims must be conducted with USPS and all theft reported to your local police department.
Mirkwood Scribes is not responsible for any errors made by the Post Office. If your item is delayed past its "estimated arrival date", please file a complaint with the USPS, as Mirkwood Scribes no longer is responsible for the package once handed over to the carrier. A package must be missing for three (3) weeks and have an incomplete tracking record before an insurance claim can be filed. If both criteria have been met, please contact Mirkwood Scribes and the order can be resent as soon as possible.
Returned Orders
Please verify you have entered the correct mailing address before placing an order and checking out. In the event a customer enters incorrect information, the customer will be responsible for any additional postage necessary if they wish to have the item mailed to the correct address. If a parcel is returned for any other reason, the buyer may choose to have the item remailed, but the buyer will be responsible for all shipping costs incurred. If the buyer chooses not to have the parcel mailed to the correct address after a parcel has been returned, the buyer will be refunded the full cost of the items, minus the original shipping fees.
Gifts
If your purchase is being sent as a gift, please use the recipient's address in the shipping section at checkout. A quick message to Mirkwood Scribes would also be appreciated to ensure there are no mix-ups in the mailing process. Gift receipts will be available upon request.
